Company Information

Hamburg (euro adhoc) – Hamburg, 14 May 2012. Nordex’s new business is
continuing to grow. Thus, the wind turbine manufacturer has now
received five new contracts in the important UK market. Since the
beginning of the year, the Infinis Group has ordered a total of 22
N90/2500 and N80/2500 strong-wind turbines for various wind farms.
Nordex had already booked eleven of the turbines as a firm order
intake in the 1st quarter of 2012, with orders for a further eleven
received in May.

In Scotland, five N80/2500 turbines will be installed at the
“Gordonstown Hill” wind farm and five N90/2500 turbines at the
“Westfield” wind farm. A further twelve 2.5 MW machines will be
installed in England at the “Wingates”, “Blackstone Edge” and “Tedder
Hill” wind farms. Construction work is to commence this year, with
all 22 turbines to start feeding clean electricity into the grid by
March 2013 at the latest.

Infinis is already operating twelve N90/2500 turbines at the “Lissett
Airfield” wind farm, which Nordex installed in 2008. Nordex will be
exceeding the 1 GW limit for installed capacity in the United Kingdom
and Ireland this year, thus underscoring its strong position in this
core market.

“We are delighted to have secured these further projects with Infinis
and look forward to building out the five project portfolio with one
of the UK’s largest independent renewable energy generators” says
Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, member of Nordex SE’s Management Board
responsible for sales, service and project management.

About Nordex As one of the technological leaders in multi-megawatt
wind power systems, Nordex is benefiting from the trend in favour of
large-scale turbines. The range comprises one of the world’s largest
series-produced wind power systems (N90/2500, N100/2500, N117/2400).
To date, over 1,850 turbines of this type have been installed around
the world. This experience with multi-megawatt turbines gives Nordex
a decisive lead over most of its competitors. Nordex has installed a
total of around 4,880 turbines with an aggregate capacity of more
than 7,540 MW all around the world. With exports accounting for more
than 85 percent of its business, Nordex SE plays a key role in
international high-growth regions. The Company has offices and
subsidiaries in 19 countries around the world with a total global
headcount of over 2,600 employees.
